Hewlett Packard & Photo Talk Radio Photo Contest Rules
Each monthly Hewlett Packard and Photo Talk Radio Photo Contest winner wins a HP Photosmart 475 Compact Inkjet Printer.
The monthly contest starts July 7, 2006 and ends June 30, 2007. Printers will be shipped to U.S. and Canadian addresses only. All photographers, non-professional and professional alike are eligible.
One printer will awarded each month, for a total of 12 winners. Each monthly winner will be announced on the first Photo Talk Radio Show of each month and include all entries received since the start of the contest on July 7, 2006. When the first Photo Talk Radio Show of the month is a pre-recorded presentation, the winner will be announced during the first live broadcast of the month.
The contest is open to all subject matter, however it must be in good taste as determined by the judges. All entries determined not to be in good taste will be disqualified. You may enter as often as you like, however, you can only win the contest one time and receive only one printer.
Submitting Contest Images
Photos should be prepared as 7 inches on the longest side horizontal or vertical at 72 Dpi and saved as a jpeg's on #7 Photoshop quality setting. Email photos to galleryphotos@phototalkradio.com.
Please put HP Photo Contest in the subject line. You must include your name, snail mail address, e-mail address and a daytime phone number.
The primary judges are Howard Lipin, Michael A. Garcia, and Gary Bernstein. At the discretion of Photo Talk Radio, alternate judges can be designated at anytime. A total of three judges will judge contest entries. The judge's decisions are final and are based on originality and overall quality as compared to the entries received.
Contest Fine Print
The photographer must hold the copyright to all photos he or she submits to the contest.Photographs that violate the laws of copyright will be disqualified. The photographer must hold the copyright to all images used in composite photographs submitted to the contest,and to all stitched images in the cases of panoramic images. The use of public domainimages are prohibited. Photographers retain ownership of all copyrights. The selectedwinners of HP products grant the following rights to HP including but not limited to the rightto publish the winning photograph(s) for advertising and/or promotional purposes for a termof one (1) year from the date of selection of the winning photograph. While HP is not bound topublish the winning photographs any such use or publication will bear the following imprint:Photographer’s Name © Date. Photographs that include sculptures, statues, paintings, andother works of art will be accepted as long as they do not constitute copyright infringement orfraud. When photographing the artwork of others, it must be as an object in its environment and not a full-frame close-up of another person's art. Photographers must have sufficientpermission of any recognizable models or other persons appearing in the photograph to beable to grant to phototalkradio.com, HP, its collective associates and assigns the right todisplay their photographic submission online. Any photographs meeting legal challengesfrom either copyright or insufficient model permissions will be removed and replaced.
