Ike Royer-His Legacy Lives on, & Top Shooting & Marketing Tips
This Show Written & Produced by Howard Lipin
On this broadcast we pay tribute to the life and legacy of Ike Royer, whom passed-away earlier this year, and to his many contributions to photography. In the 1970’s Ike was most responsible for bringing Oriental Seagull black and white photo paper to the America, the paper made famous by Ansel Adams, Bret Weston and many others. We’ll be joined by Ike’s son, Mathieu Royer, and Patrick Dellibovi, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Freestyle Photographic Supplies, where Ike was instrumental in forming and was the chairman of the Freestyle Advisory Board of Photographic Professionals, a group of photographers and printers from around the world. Members of the advisory board, Michelle Bates, Gene Nocon, and Elizabeth Oplaneck will also visit. Michelle is the author of Plastic Cameras: Toying with Creativity, Gene is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, the inventor of the Nocon Photographic Timer, as well as an author of photography books, and Elizabeth is the author of Poetic Grace, and
has had her work shown at over 60 exhibitions internationally and in museum gallery and private collections throughout the world.
After we pay tribute to Ike, we’ll have some of the top shooting, marketing and selling tips. After all, making money from your photography should be fun too.
